A couple weeks ago I flew to Norway to shoot a wedding. It was a quick trip, due to a last minute change in itinerary (no thanks to Orbitz) I actually spent more time in airplanes and congested international terminals than I did at my destination – boo. I will say, however, that the Bose QC-15s are undoubtedly the best travel companion ever, best business expense yet. Anyway -…

I had a quick job this morning with the lovely ladies at MK Studio with an update of their staff photos. This time around the goal was for something a bit more informal than what we’ve done in the past so we did some run and gun portraits around the studio. Easy peasy – these girls are the best, they make my job a walk in the park.

Had some work in Camden last week, first time back in town since CIFF. This time ’round though, the weather was not nearly as accommodating and the atmosphere lacked the same excitement and festiveness as the warmer months. Maybe it’s just because it’s sad to see all the wooden boats under wraps. Anyway, some photos:

Last week I spent my thanksgiving choking down a reheated piece of styrofoam compliments of the lovely folks of United Airlines – on the plus side: trans-pacific flights earn you a complimentary drink… and a relatively insignificant number of frequent flyer miles. Seriously – I don’t even think I’ve earned enough for a bag of peanuts yet. Anyway – disastrous thanksgivings aside – I spent a most lovely week in…

Every so often I make a departure from my normal subject matter and shoot something (or somethings, as the case may be) different. I don’t normally do family shots, but from time to time exceptions are made for friends and family. I couldn’t do it for a living – I don’t reckon I’ve got the skill set to consistently wrangle kids, keep everyone smiling, compose a shot, and make it…

Over the summer – in addition to the other chaos that was work – I snapped my shutter a few times for Maine Home & Design and the Maine Mag. It was a great chance to branch out a little bit and tell some different stories than I’m used to. I may have spent an inordinate amount of time traveling for relatively small shoots (I always figured, since Bar Harbor…

We recently had the pleasure of staying in camden for the better part of a week while i covered the Camden International Film Festival. Last year i just showed up with a camera and made pictures – so it was a nice change of pace this year to actually receive monetary compensation for services rendered. They even put us up in the master suite in a fancy place downtown -…

o i realize that it’s been months since i last posted, but an old pro once told me “real photogs don’t have time to blog – and bloggers don’t have time to shoot”. I don’t really believe that, but its applicable this time around. Summer was pretty wild – lots of work, not a lot of sleep, lots of new faces – and occasionally a paycheck or two. Spent the…

We took the camp into the City of Ships for the fourth of July this year (as we do every year actually… not sure why i would phrase it like that.) We went in earlier in the morning for the parade – although there was a disappointingly small number of floats, and equally disappointing number of trucks driving through with business banners hanging from the window with a couple red…

Annie and i took a group of campers to Quebec for the weekend – always amazes me how you drive through hours of hickville maine when all of the sudden: there you are – pissing off the locals with your obtuse grasp of the language as you fumble to order what, only a few miles away, is called a McRib and fries… still not sure if i was pronouncing “McCote”…
